In Hollis, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across New York vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Advance Car Wash Oil Change Auto inspection at (718) 454-1418; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, advancecarwashinc.com.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 841 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded oil change services in Hollis.
Hollis is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Hollis follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was told the monthly car wash plan costs $20 and is “unlimited.” However, I only used it twice the entire month. When I went back today, they told me I had to pay half price for another wash because I had already used it twice. When I questioned this, they said the plan only allows two washes—even though it was clearly advertised as unlimited. That makes no sense. To make things worse, they charged my card anyway and said, “I’ll let you go this time,” as if they were doing me a favor. This feels misleading and dishonest. If there’s a limit, it should be clearly stated upfront instead of calling it “unlimited.” I wouldn’t recommend this place.

This is one of the most misleading car wash businesses I’ve encountered. Do not sign up for the monthly wash. If you do, once your car is inside the wash, they turn off all the cleaning equipment—wrap-around brushes, side brushes, top brushes, and mitter curtains—so you only get a basic water rinse, and that's how they make money. When I confronted them, they initially denied it. Video footage from my car cameras clearly proving the brushes were turned off during the wash. Charging customers monthly for a full wash while providing only water rinse is dishonest and unacceptable. Management should be ashamed of these business practices. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

not sure why this place have 4.4 stars. Car isn't clean at all after taking the most expensive wash! Waste of money. Staff is horrible. The trouble is on their side and blames me when the car couldn't go through the washer initially. Told him numerous time the car is at neutral and NOT stepping on the brake and emergency hand brake is off and he rudely told me the show him if my foot is not on the brake paddle!!!
